These blocks are designed for swift and seamless uptake of water and homogeneous distribution of water throughout the substrate, critical characteristics of an effective growing medium.

Superior Quality and Innovative Design: Not only is it sterling quality stone wool, but Cultiwool is also the first to introduce the 'donut ring' to the retail market for advancing water distribution. Its design features highly recognized cross grooves that aid in water flow beneath the block and a black/white foil to ward off algae growth.

Enhanced Waterflow Design: Cultiwool substrate blocks come equipped with drain grooves at the bottom for improving water flow beneath the block. This feature is particularly useful when the substrate blocks are placed on cultivation tables or concrete floors. The reduced contact surface with the ground that these drain grooves provide helps to block diseases that might transfer to the plant via weak roots, typically combined with too high temperatures.

First to Provide a Donut Ring: In an industry-first, Cultiwool equips its substrate with a donut ring, which is a water chamber around the plug hole for placing drippers. The donut ring ensures even more uniform water distribution throughout the block. A beneficial secondary feature is the elimination of possibilities for error in locating the drippers in the block.
